Part 3:Disney World
2004
Recently I had the pleasure of visiting old friend, Uby Roselle,
fishing guide at Walt Disney World where he has guided guests
on Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon for 15 years! Though he has
had many opportunities to change his work at the "House
That Mickey Built", Uby chose to remain on the water where
he loves to be! |
|
|
I have fished Disney waters many
times before, and it never gets old! The fishing is great,
the catching is terrific, and the scenery is unequaled!
Where can you fish for spawning bass on the beach of 4-star
hotels, chase schoolers around the boat slips of the Magic
Kingdom, and drift for roamers in an ancient and pristine
natural lake、aldl without leaving your boat!?! |
|
We started the morning fishing Bay Lake
and then worked our way over to the Lagoon. The water was
free there until the big paddle wheel boats began moving guests
from the parking lot to the Magic Kingdom. When all that activity
gets cranked up, it's time to mosey back to the less busy
waters of Bay Lake.
|
We caught fish on plastic worms,
Lucky Craft and Smith cranks, and Senkos. Fun, fun, fun!
After 4 hours of fishing, we had caught 25 bass and missed
several others! I was tired! I just donユt last all day
any more like I used to!
"I'm ready to go in if you are, Uby," I said.
"OK, but let me show you something first!" he
answered.
Uby took me to a spot out in the middle of Bay Lake where
he proceeded to catch big speckled perch (crappie)! 6
of them within 15 minutes! Wow! I didn't even know these
monsters were in here! What a treat! |

I rigged out similar to Ubyユs little white
piece of plastic, but I couldnユt get bit! He had the メmagicモ
I guess. It would be fun to go back some time and fish JUST
for specks! Oh, heck! I couldnユt do that! I gotta take a bass
rod with me anyway!
The plush pontoon boats are available for rental with fishing
guide for the 2 hour trips 4 scheduled each day. Up to 5 anglers
