CELEBRATION, Fla. - Because of substantial damage caused by Hurricane Rita in the area surrounding Sam Rayburn Reservoir in Jasper, Texas, BASS has moved the Women¡Çs Bassmaster Tour preview event to Lewisville Lake outside of Dallas. The dates of the event will remain the same.

"We are deeply saddened that the community was impacted so seriously that it can not currently host the Women's Bassmaster Tour preview event," said Tournament director Bruce Mathis. "We truly hope we can bring another women's event to Sam Rayburn after recovery is complete. BASS hopes the area is restored for its citizens and businesses as quickly as possible."

Any anglers who cannot fish the rescheduled tournament will be refunded their entry fees if requested by close of business on Thursday, Oct. 6.

Sam Rayburn Reservoir also was scheduled to host an ESPN Outdoors Bassmaster Series tournament next week, which BASS canceled on Wednesday.

The 2006 Women's Bassmaster Tour schedule will remain in tact:

March 16-18 Toledo Bend Reservoir Huxley, Texas
April 20-22 Neeley Henry Lake Gadsden, Ala.
May 18-20 Lewisville Lake Dallas, Texas
July 27-29 Lake Norman Huntersville, N.C.
Aug. 24-26 Lake Dardanelle Russellville, Ark.
